Airbus A300B4 - Sultan Air
Sultan Air was a former Turkish charter airline which started flying in July 1989. The airline existed four years and ceased flying in November 1993. Initially it flew a Sud Aviation Caravelle and Boeing 737s. In 1992 an Airbus A300 widebody joined the fleet, followed by another two in 1993. It also operated a Lockheed L-1011 TriStar for a short period.
In November 1993 inspections proved safety violations, resulting in withdrawal of Sultan Air's operating license. After this the airline was liquidated. The photograph shows an Airbus A300B4 of Sultan Air departing from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
