Uzbekistan Airways is the national airline of Uzbekistan and it has its main base at Tashkent Airport. The airline flies domestic and international services to destinations in Asia, Europe and North America. Uzbekistan Airways was established in 1992, and it was actually the former Uzbekistan division of Aeroflot. The airline started flying with Sovjet aircraft types, but soon added Boeing and Airbus aircraft for its international network.

The airline flies both the Boeing 767-300ER and the Airbus A310-300. Of three Airbus A310-300's, delivered in 1993 and 1998 only one is still active. The aircraft on the photograph is approaching Franfurt Rhein/Main Airport.
