Boeing 767-300F - LAN Cargo
LAN Airlines started its history in Chile in 1929 as Linea Aeropostal Santiago-Arica. In 1932 the company was renamed LanChile as the national airline of Chile. During the 1990's the airline began to take over other Latin-American airlines, like Ladeco and Fast Air and started airlines in Peru, Ecuador, Argentina and the Dominican Republic.
In 2004 LanChile, LanPeru, LanDominicana and LanEcuador became unified under one LAN Airlines brand. The cargo division LAN Cargo was formed in 2005 from the earlier Fast Air and the freight divisions of LanChile and Ladeco. The Boeing 767 plays an important role in the LAN Airlines fleet and LAN Cargo flies four Boeing 767-300F freighters, including the aircraft on the picture, which is approaching Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
