Boeing 787-8 Air India
Air India received its first Boeing 787-8 aircraft in September 2012 after a four-year delay. It has ordered 27 of the type. The airline experienced a number of incidents with the aircraft in the first period of operation. One of the aircraft suffered cracks in its windowpanes while landing at Melbourne. A panel fell off one the aircraft's belly in Bangalore. Air India also wasn't satisfied about the fuel burn of the 787.
