Boeing 787-8 - Thomson Airways

Thomson Airways, a subsidiary of TUI Travel, is the biggest charter airline in the world, although it also offers scheduled flights from the UK and Ireland. It flies to destinations in Europe, Africa, North America and Asia. TUI Travel was formed by the merger of the travel division of TUI AG and First Choice Holidays in September 2007. The airlines of the two companies, Thomsonfly and First Choice Airways, were merged under the new name Thomson Airways.

Thomsonfly was earlier known as Britannia Airways and First Choice Airways as Air 2000. Thomson Airways flies Boeing 767-300 widebodies and started operating the Boeing 787 in 2013. The introduction of the 787 also saw the adoption of a new colour scheme. The first Dreamliner was delivered in May 2013. Main bases of the airline are London-Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham.
