Ilyushin Il-86 - Aeroflot
Once Aeroflot was the single airline for the whole Sovjet-Union. Since glasnost and perestrojka Aeroflot was broken up in hundreds of separate airlines. The old name of Aeroflot remained for Aeroflot Russian International Airlines (ARIA). The ARIA-fleet comprises about eighty aircraft, including eight Ilyushin Il-86s.
The aircraft on the picture above is seen at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport in the early nineties, with the old Sovjet-flag still on the tail. Later the livery was slightly modified with a Russian flag on a grey tail (picture below).
