McDonnell Douglas MD-11 - Alitalia
Alitalia flew eight McDonnell Douglas MD-11s. The first one was delivered in 1991 and most of the aircraft remained in the fleet until 2009. All former Alitalia aircraft were converted to freighters. Alitalia was and is user of several widebody aircraft types. It also flew the Airbus A300, McDonnell Douglas DC-10 and Boeing 747. Today it has the Airbus A330 and the Boeing 767 and 777 in service. The aircraft on the picture is approaching Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
