McDonnell Douglas MD-11F - Centurion Cargo
Centurion Cargo is a US cargo airline based at Miami International Airport. The airline was founded as Challenge Air Cargo in 1985 and in 2001 it was renamed Centurion Air Cargo. It flies scheduled services to destinations in Central and South America and to Amsterdam. It also offers worldwide charter flights. It is specialised in transporting live animals and perishable goods. Examples are seafood, horses, vegetables and flowers.
Centurion Cargo received its first of ten McDonnell Douglas MD-11 freighters in 2009. The aircraft replaced earlier McDonnell Douglas DC-10 aircraft. Today it also opertes four Boeing 747-400Fs. The MD-11 on the photograph is taxiing after landing at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in The Netherlands.
