McDonnell Douglas MD-11F and MD-11CF - Martinair

After taking delivery of its first McDonnell Douglas MD-11CF convertibles in 1994 and 1995 the Dutch charter airline Martinair flew the aircraft with passengers in Summer and with cargo in Winter. Later the MD-11's were operated as freighters only, while Boeing 767s took over the passenger role. In 2011 Martinair even stopped flying passengers completely.

After receiving four MD-11CFs Martinair took delivery of the first of three MD-11F full cargo planes (without windows) from 1996. The aircraft on the large picture is a MD-11F. On the first photograph below a MD-11CF is shown. The third photograph shows MD-11F 'Prinses Máxima' (PH-MCU) in the old Martinair livery with roses added. All pictures are taken at Martinair's homebase Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
