Boeing 767-300 - Britannia Airways
Britannia Airways was founded as Euravia in 1961. It adopted the name Britannia Airways in 1964 when a number of Bristol Britannia airliners entered the fleet.
Today Britannia is the in-house airline of the Thomson travel organisation. Thomson was taken over by Preussag AG (TUI Group) and that is the reason that the very stylish Britannia livery (picture above) is replaced by the common blue colour scheme in use with other TUI-airlines like Hapag-Lloyd, Corsair, Neos and ArkeFly. In the newest livery Thomsonfly.com titles are painted on the aircraft (picture below).
Britannia's main bases are London Gatwick, Luton, Manchester and Birmingham. Boeing delivered both the 767-200 and the 767-300 to Britannia Airways. Both pictures are taken at Manchester Airport.
